Gentry took the head coach position after the front office dismissed Luke Walton in November. The veteran coach led the Kings to a 24-41 record over the final 65 games of the season. The Kings (30-52) finished the season at 12th in the Western Conference.
Gentry owns a 534-639 record over his 18-year career as an NBA head coach. He’s spent time with the Heat, Pistons, Clippers, Suns, and Pelicans before coming to Sacramento.
