Allrounder Ravindra Jadeja makes a comeback to India’s Test and ODI squads for the tour of Bangladesh in December, after missing the ongoing T20 World Cup because of a knee injury he suffered during the Asia Cup in August and subsequent surgery.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will also return for the tour of Bangladesh, after taking a break from the tour of New Zealand in November that immediately follows the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Jasprit Bumrah, who also missed the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia because of a back injury, was not selected in the squads for the tours of New Zealand and Bangladesh.
While Hanuma Vihari has been dropped from the squad for the two-Test series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship, Ajinkya Rahane continues to miss out on selection after having been dropped for the series against Sri Lanka and the fifth Test against England.
India begin the tour of Bangladesh with three ODIs in Mirpur on December 4, 7 and 10, after which they play two Tests in Chattogram (December 14-18) and Mirpur (December 22-26).
